ABOUT THE OWNER 

After graduating from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, David Carimi spent three years working for Greenfield Group, a real estate development company based in Boca Raton, FL specializing in healthcare facilities and medical office buildings.

Upon returning to New Orleans, David continued his real estate development career with his acquisition and expansion of the Avenue Garden Hotel on St. Charles Avenue. Under David’s direction, the hotel was completely renovated and refurbished.

In 2004, David partnered with several local businessmen to purchase the historic colonial furniture building on the corner of N. Rampart Street and Esplanade Avenue adjacent to the French Quarter. Within three years, David’s team transformed what was formerly a 39,000 square foot warehouse into a 47,000 square foot, luxury condominium complex. Colonial Condominiums is credited as having some of the finest finishes available in a building of its kind and boasts a rooftop penthouse with a private pool.

During the development and construction of Colonial Condominiums, David began to focus his attention on creating a commercial construction firm. His goal was to offer high quality construction and management services to other developers in the New Orleans area. 

Since the creation of Carimi Construction and Development, David has led his clients through a wide variety of construction projects. Some of Carimi Construction and Development’s most notable projects in the New Orleans area include, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival Foundation, St. George’s Episcopal Church, several projects for Copeland’s Restaurant Group, Preservation Hall, Windsor Court Hotel, and the Spanish Stables which won the VCC Project of the Year, to name a few.
